Insulating Britain’s inefficient housing stock is a leading challenge in our fight to reach net zero by 2050. 

 

The nation’s housing stock is old, 38% of dwellings were built before 1946 when virtually all dwellings were constructed with solid brick walls. With over 60% of homes having poorly insulated walls, the UK currently tops the list as the country with the least efficient homes in Europe. We understand that this must change and with a fabric-first approach and a focus on solid wall insulation, we are ready to play our part.
